A dimensionally stable seal you can trust: VDW.1Seal™ Bioceramic Sealer

VDW introduces VDW.1Seal™ Bioceramic Sealer, a new tricalcium silicate-based sealer for the next generation of bioceramic materials. This biocompatible root canal sealer is designed to predictably set, resist washout, and maintain low solubility for clinicians who are determined to improve their obturation results and with a dimensionally stable bioceramic sealer they can trust.

Maximum precision in every step of treatment. In endodontics, this is a key success factor. For obturation, the new VDW.1Seal™ Bioceramic Sealer offers valuable support by providing every detail that counts to achieve a satisfactory result. Protecting against the risk of re-infections needs to be considered at any step – including obturation.

The main cause of endodontic failure is the persistence of microorganisms that cause an intra-radicular or extra-radicular infection which then becomes resistant to disinfection measures.1 Compared to other sealers, VDW.1Seal™ Bioceramic Sealer provides a pH value (≥12) which has shown to have an antimicrobial effect2. In addition, it predictably sets within 2-4 hours with low solubility that does not shrink or expand providing clinicians predictable results.

These essential characteristics of sealers allows it to fill difficult-to-access areas such as accessory canals, isthmus and other irregularities of dentin and is 25% more radiopaque than current bioceramic sealers.
